"Minnesota's 5th Largest City"

I kind of think of Bloomington as the "Twin Cities Packaged in a Suburb". Nearly everything you'd want to buy, see, or do can be found here!

As a 2nd ring suburb and a population of 85,000, Bloomington is the fifth largest city in Minnesota, but of course that number does not include the 40,000,000 people who come from around the world to visit Bloomington’s famous Mall of America.

It's home to numerous company headquarters including Toro. It boasts many preserves and parks, and internationally renowned shopping, and dining... and is one of the most central and convenient areas of the Twin Cities.

If you like to travel... you'll also like the fact that the MSP International airport can be found on the city's east side.
Pros
  • Mall of America
  • Shopping Meca
  • Great Choice of Restaurants

"Looking for some winter fun? Check out Hyland Hills Ski & Snowboard Area"

Hyland is a great place for adults & kids to get a ski or snowboard lesson. The slopes and facility are top notch and the location is great. This is a super place to take the kids to let them burn off some of that winter energy. Spend the whole day or just an afternoon you will love it!

  • Excellent Schools
  • World Class Parks
  • close to the airport
  • excellant public transportation

"A City Bursting With Style and Flair"

Bloomington is a well defined.
Shopping at it's finest includes The Mall of America, Southtown Center, Valley West and Normandle Village
just to name a few.
Nearly a third of Bloomington's 39 square miles is comprised of reserved parkland.
Some of the major parks are Minnesota Valley wetlands, Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Normandale Lake, Penn Lake, Valley View Playfield and Moir Park.
Bloomigton also has schools that are rated high in the state scholastically.
The Bloomington Theatre and Art Center is located in The Bloomington Center for the Arts Civic Plaza.
It offers theater productions, visual art exhibitions, out reach programs and concerts. In the summer months you can enjoy the local fresh produce at the farmers market.
Pros
  • close to the airport
  • excellant public transportation
  • free parking everywhere
Cons
  • heavy traffic on 494 most days and times
  • some areas of the city experience jet noise from the airport
