"B I G Yards"

Bromo Avenue is lined with sprawling ranch style homes and large yards. Developed in the 60's, the homes have been well maintained and several have been updated to accommodate today's tastes. Mature trees are the norm and low traffic makes for a quiet, peaceful place to live. Bromo Avenue connects with County Road 4/Veteran's Drive, offering smooth access to St Joseph and Highway 15.
Pros
  • Moderate Home Prices
  • Easy access to Hwy 15 and Hwy 10 North.
Cons
  • You have to like mowing ... big yards
  • Traffic along Veteran's Drive can be heavy during peak drive times

"A Great Mix of Housing Options"

Goetten's Way circles Rotary Park and offers housing options from apartments, townhomes, moderate priced homes to higher end homes. Fantastic location - literally 3 blocks from several main throughways and only minutes from shopping on the west end, restaurants and entertainment in the downtown areas and the I-94 interchange is nearby for Twin City commutes. The Goetten's Way area has been a popular location since it was developed in the 80's and doesn't appear to be losing it's appeal in any way.
Pros
  • Fantastic Walking Area
  • Mature Trees
  • Not a "Cookie Cutter" development - no two homes are a like
Cons
  • Pizza delivery drivers have a hard time finding you

"Affordable Classic Homes"

The Seberger Park and Roosevelt area of St Cloud is a wonderful place to consider if you are a first-time home owner or simply looking to down-size. Many of the homes in this area have been updated without compromising the original styles and amenities. Transportation is easy - whether you hop on the Metro bus, bike, walk or drive, you will find yourself at your destination in minutes.
Pros

"Lower Living Costs"

Rice is a small community north of St Cloud on Highway 10. Much of it's appeal is that it still has that small town feel - neighbors get to know each other. Many newer housing areas sprang up with the building boom of the mid-2000's. Cost of housing is lower than average in Rice and the city is part of the respected Sauk Rapids - Rice school district. A 20 minute drive to St Cloud and an hour south of Brainerd/Baxter area.
Pros
  • Quiet, Quaint Small Town
  • Lower Housing Costs
Cons
  • North Bound Hwy 10 Traffic on Friday Nights

"The Energy of a College Town"

Main street "St Joe" is lined with small businesses including a coffee shop, recording studio, art gallery, grocery coop, gift shop, restaurants and yoga studio. Summertime festivals and city wide garage sales make this a perfect spot for a quick afternoon getaway, or grab your bike or walking shoes and hop on the fabulous Wobegan Trail. The long standing residents, college students and Monastic communities come together here to create a diverse experience unlike any other in our area.
