"East Bethel offers privacy and more!"

East Bethel is a quiet sprawling community located north of Minneapolis. Highway 65 is the main access for commuters. Residents enjoy the bigger lots and privacy the area provides. You wont find a downtown to East Bethel, but it is home to the East Bethel Ice Arena, which is owned by the city and used by community schools for recreational activities including hockey and figuring skating. Hidden Haven Golf Course, 20520 NE Polk St is a full service golf facility open to the public. The golf course is player friendly, and offers a restaurant and reception hall for weddings. The Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve 2660 Fawn Lake Drive NE is an ecological research site with natural habitats that represent the entire state. It is owned and operated by the University of Minnesota in cooperation with the Minnesota Academy of Science. Fish Lake Natural Trails is a great place to hike and experience the beauty and diversity of Cedar Creek any time of the year. You can also enjoy boating, cross-country skiing and geocaching.

"HIstoric City"

Anoka is an interesting city with a lot of history! You will still enjoy the downtown atmosphere with a drive down main street where all the shops and the County Court House are located. It was a booming town in the 1800's with lumber and flour mills operating. It was also the County Seat. In 1884 a devastating fire tour through town and leveled it.

Ramsey is a friendly suburb bordered by the Mississippi River on the south and the Rum River on the East. Both rivers can be a source of entertainment for residents. Boating, fishing, or just nature watching are great options. The Ramsey Town Center is conveniently located off of Highway 10 and features a stop for the Northstar Commuter line and the new VA hospital. They have done a great job creating a "downtown" feel with shops and other businesses in the area. In the summer, bands are scheduled at the Amphitheater for everyone to enjoy free of charge. Residents have pride in their schools and have good parent participation. There are many youth sports and activities available for all ages.

"Great schools and a great community"

We love Andover and have enjoyed raising our 2 kids here. The schools are safe, organized, and have parent involvement. Programs are available for gifted and talented students and the high school offers many advanced placement and college credit courses (PSEO). Andover residents enjoy a lot of community pride with its own high school. My kids have had great experiences at school and enjoyed being involved in athletics at the high school and up through the youth programs. There are many opportunities for athletics for all ages through various community organizations. We have met many great friends through the community and are happy to call Andover home.
Pros
  • Great youth programs
  • Safe schools
  • Great School District
  • Local Amenities
  • YMCA
